Tenby Lifeboat Station                 as seen on Channel 4's

In February 2010 we started work on a project to convert Tenby's Grade-II listed former Lifeboat Station into a 4-bedroomed holiday home. The Lifeboat Station is a landmark building which features prominently in the stunning backdrop of Tenbys picturesque North beach and harbour.

Working closely with Argent Architects throughout the design and planning processes, we were the Principal Contractor charged with completing the conversion within an effective timescale and to the highest of standards .

This was an extremely interesting and complex build - like nothing we'd undertaken before - but, within 15 months of starting, the structural and internal works were complete and it handed over for occupation by Easter 2011.

Due to the extraordinary nature of this project there was a great deal of local and national media interest by organisations such as the BBC, The Times, Western Telegraph and The Financial Times. The regional BBC Wales news programme 'Wales Today' featured an interview with Michael Argent - our architect - which can be viewed here.

The Channel 4 TV programme 'Grand Designs' were interested in both the nature of the adaptation and the tidal location of the structure itself and followed each process of the conversion from start to finish. The development of the Lifeboat Station featured in their 2011 series - where over 3 million viewers took the chance to see the results of our hard work.
